YBI Clubhouse | Yerba Buena Island | San Francisco, CA
On Yerba Buena Island, with views of the Bay Bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge and Downtown San Francisco, Wilson Meany is creating a new residential neighborhood of luxury for-sale hillside townhomes and podium flats, surrounded by parks and habitat spaces. Every neighborhood needs a heart, and for this one it will be the Clubhouse.
Conceived as a private community gathering place for the island's residents, the Clubhouse is designed by Aidlin Darling Design and will bring a wide range of uses together under one roof in Type VB construction: fitness, a yoga studio, lounge spaces, a pool and spa, and private dining spaces. Carrying that design intent from concept to construction, in step with the residential buildings around it, calls for close coordination. As Executive Architect, BDE Architecture is guiding the project through Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Bidding and Construction Administration.
Once complete, the Clubhouse will give neighbors a shared place to exercise, unwind, dine and connect. Set among parks and habitat spaces and framed by views across the Bay, it is poised to become the social center of island life.
